MONTREAL, April 22, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - Age of Union Alliance, led by tech leader and environmental activist Dax Dasilva, is proud to announce the launch of Earth Centre, the non-profit organization's new headquarters in Montreal, which will also function as an environmental arts exhibition space. In addition to serving as an office for Age of Union, the space will feature biannual exhibits with thought-provoking art installations that reflect the organization's mission to protect the planet's threatened species and ecosystems. With the intent of inspiring high-impact change, Age of Union will use art to foster emotional connections between self and nature while providing teachings about critical environmental challenges around the world.


Montreal alleyways on display. From Montreal to Genoa, Italy, a new art exhibition is putting life in both cities’ alleyways on display.

Until May 31, the collaborative exhibition “Vicoli and Ruelles” will be presented on this side of the Atlantic, at the Institute of Italian Culture of Montreal (1200 Doctor Penfield Avenue).

At first glance, the four huge photographs of protests by Vancouver artist Stan Douglas displayed in the small, angular Canadian pavilion of the Venice Art Biennale look like reportage.

Canadian filmmaker Noura Kevorkian was making a documentary about Syrian migrant workers in Lebanon — but the eruption of the civil war led her on a 10-year odyssey. She tells us about moving into a refugee camp to tell the stories in her film, Batata.
