Events to check out.

Porchfest NDG will take place on Saturday September 17, a one-day affair rather than a weekend gig this time around, as organizers are weary of what pandemic conditions will look like in the fall, but still opted to do it later than the usual summer months which would have required planning earlier this year with even less insight into what the coming months looked like. Porchfest offers performances of a wide array of live music on balconies, front lawns, and stoops. Whether your taste is bluegrass or punk, classic rock or country, there’s something for everyone and it’s a party, with crowds milling about the neighborhoods, maps in hand, strolling around to find the next great show.

Antiques appraisers come to Hudson, Quebec. The Greenwood Centre for Living History hosts its annual Treasures in the Attic, Sept. 17. Appraisals take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and cost $5 per item.

More about The Greenwood Centre for Living History:

BLVD festival is the family friendly event of the Main. To celebrate its 5th edition, fun activities will be flourishing on every corner of the boulevard to entertain your inner child during a late summer weekend. During the day, children will be thrilled to take part in giant, skill-testing and playful games, go on a treasure hunt adventure or take a skateboard lesson. At the same time, parents can take the opportunity to shop and unwind in the relaxation area.

In the evening, the block party of the Glory challenge organized by the skate shop Dime, makes its big comeback. Located in the parking lot between Prince-Arthur and Milton, the festivities surrounding the Skateboard competition will vibrate to the rhythms of DJs, photobooths and inflatable playgrounds!
